Business as usual is unsustainable in the long term. On the other hand, protests and picket lines have failed to drive social and environmental change on a meaningful scale. How can we encourage “business” to create cost effective solutions that deliver returns to everyone? BusinessEarth is Kurt Wilkin’s response to this question.
Inspired by his parents’ example, and encouraged by professionals and the local community, Kurt launched BusinessEarth to drive change and growth beyond the balance sheet.
By painting social and environmental pressures as an opportunity instead of a burden, BusinessEarth wants to move sustainability from a business fad to a standard business practice.
We seek to open skeptical minds to responsible business practices and lend a helping hand or capital to ideas with the potential for global impact. Sustainability shouldn’t be a concept spouted in someone’s marketing claims or worse yet, become lost in a green-washing campaign. BusinessEarth’s mission is to prove that it’s possible and profitable to incorporate responsibility into your business plan.
